Having Healthy hair starts in the Kitchen and I don't mean just mixing up D.i.y experiments for your hair. I mean Maintaining the proper diet to promote hair growth. Yes, You can, eat your way to long hair or at least give your hair an extra boost. So Lets get started.
1.Salmon
OK, so who doesn't love salmon,it is loaded with D and protein, and it also contains omega-3 fatty acids that promote hair growth by keeping your scalp healthy. A healthy scalp means Healthy Hair.
2.Eggs
An excellent source of omega-3s, and they also contain biotin (which some people take in supplement form). But there's no better way than to eat the proper foods. However be aware: that it is not the egg whites that encourage hair to grow long and beautiful, BUT it’s the YOLK. If you intake too many egg whites it can block the absorption of the biotin into the body, causing a depletion of this micro-nutrients. So be careful not to overload.
3.Sunflower seeds
I bet you didn't know that if you eat just a few sunflower seeds they can supply you with an abundance of vitamin E, which increases blood circulation to the scalp and promotes faster hair growth.
4.Sweet potatoes
Yummm. ... Sweet potatoes, my favorite of all times, not just because of the amazing taste and low calories. But also because they are loaded with beta carotene. Our amazing bodies transforms beta carotene to vitamin A. Which helps protect against dull and dry hair. It also encourages the scalp glands to make an oily fluid called sebum which keeps hair from drying out. (stay away from adding sweeteners and butters as it takes away from the nutrients )
5. Avocados
Due to their high concentration of essential fatty acids which can be found in skin cells (this is what helps to keep skin smooth and gives hair elasticity), avocados are the go to for fatty acid intake.
6.Greek yogurt
Ehhh, yogurt is my least favorite but you have to do what you have to , right? Well no matter what you think, Greek Yogurt is a great source for Vitamin B5 . B5 helps blood flow to your scalp, aiding against Hair thinning and loss.
7.Spinach
If your battling Brittle Hair. Spinach is a great choice for you.Spinach is full of amazing nutrients. It has tons of vitamin A, plus iron, beta carotene, folate, and vitamin C. These work together for a healthy scalp and hair growth. Spinach keeps your hair moisturized from the inside out so it doesn't break. Don't like Spinach? You might want to consider Kale which is another great green choice
8.Almonds
Almonds due to their high biotin content will make your hair grow faster and thicker. Just One cup contains nearly 1/3 of your daily diet intake requirement. After adding them to your diet you should be able to see results in a month or two.
9. Guava
Guava is not found everywhere but if you can find it , it will be a bonus. This amazing tropical fruit is loaded with Vitamin C. Just one cup of Guava contains 4 times the minimum daily recommended amount. It is great for preventing breakage from the inside out.
