Exercise is excellent for improving your mood and overall health. It also helps the body to create healthy hormones. We all know that working out produce blood circulation but did you know, it helps in cultivating a healthy scalp for healthy hair to grow?! When you throw in a healthy diet and great products, you develop the ultimate foundation for Smiling Curls.
However, you must be mindful not to overexert yourself. Did you know that "Too Much" exercise can cause chronic stress to your body causing you to lose hair prematurely? Due to the salty sweat build up on your head, it can cause faster shedding or other damage to your hair. So while it is essential to get in a great work out regularly be mindful that you're not overworking your body to the point you're losing hair.
With the right balance of exercise and lifestyle changes (we don't believe in diets), you are on the right track to having the hair you've always wanted. While also experiencing; Improved health: because exercise benefits the entire body while strengthening your cardiovascular system by being proactive and reducing your risk of other health conditions that could potentially affect your hair growth. Remember a healthy body means healthy hair, glowing skin, and healthy nails.
Cell Regeneration/ Nourished Follicles: Because hair is mostly made up of proteins, which are needed for cell growth, working out consistently ensures you'll sleep better, leading to better cell renewal for hair and, improved general health. The nutrients and oxygen created by working out help in increasing blood flow/circulation and body temperature in the scalp. The more that flows, the more nutrients and oxygen will be supplied to the scalp to improve hair growth.
Reduced stress: Did you know when you're stressed, your bodies produce a hormone called cortisone, which leads to the shedding of hair. However, when we exercise, we create the hormone serotonin, which helps in the reduction of our stress. Less stress, the healthier our hair becomes.
One of our favorite things to do is Yoga.
Yoga is terrific for calming the mind which helps decrease stress while focusing on your inner being. It also increases blood flow through the entire body. Due to inverted poses and backbends, it is excellent for hair growth.
Listen I understand caring for natural hair while working out isn't the most straightforward task, However wearing some protective gear can minimize contact with sweat. Be sure to stick to your hair regimen in order to keep your hair flourishing.
